I use IMovie in my TV Production class at school and I like it a lot. Very simple. Anything like it for the pc?

XP has a built in movie producer, but I doubt it's as good as Apple's because it just seems tacked on, rather than a main feature. Perhaps the Mac Mini is in your future?

There's Windows Movie Maker on Windows. But, having used both, I think iMovie is better.

Just remembered: there's a new version of iMovie out called iMovie HD that kicks WMM's butt. It even comes with a new mac without paying extra (ie, bundled software).

Premiere Elements is pretty nice, but it's not free. I've been using it to put together a DVD of family videos.

VideoStudio has a 30 day trial, but after that it isn't free (but it's not expensive either and it's pretty good). It wouldn't be as good as iMovie HD (I've used VisdeStudio, but not iMovie HD). But then again, iMovie HD isn't free unless you buy a new mac (if you wanted a mac that is).
