Any problems with using 2GB memory?

I am aware of a 2GB memory problem for win98. That is, I have read that anything over 512mb will give you errors, but I have also read about the fix. I haven't seen any issues related to windows xp. Will the retail version install and run fine with that much memory? (without service packs)

I have 2GB coming in the mail and didn't want any surprises.
 
No problems at all. WinXP theoretically works with up to 4gb, but in practice, it's more like 3.25 due to motherboard/software limitations.
