Just want to see if anyone sees any conflicts of the new components woring with the existing.

Looking to get this motherboard.
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0

And this RAM.
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Might get 4GB and Vista ultimate 64.

Currently I have:
C2D e6400
evga 7950 GT KO Superclocked
corsair 620 watt ps
tuniq tower

On my 680i mobo I could easily get the processor @3.2Ghz. Can I expect the same with the P35?
Any other suggestions?

There are confirmed reports about some Corsair 520/620. Board will not POST. Some Antec lines are also problematic. Antec Earthwatts are okay, though.

Are you saying the board may not post when using the corsair 620???

If so, that's not good. Any links?

And these boot issues are not isolated to Abit boards. Fans may spin but board will not POST. Folks also have shut down issues.

re there forums down? I can't get anything to load.

Just so I'm clear have you read a compatibility issue with the corsair power supplies when teamed up with certain boards or just a general problem with the power supplies? I've had my 620 working with my 680i board for almost a year and haven't had any issues POSTing. But I'd like to read what others report.

This is the first I've heard of this too. I have the Gigabyte P35-DQ6 which is very similar to the DS4. I'm using the Corsair 620 and not having any problems.

I did read somewhere that the bosard has issues with all dimms being full. I really want 4gb an would rather have 4x1 than 2x2.

Any other info?

It seems that a lot of boards have problems working with 4 1 gig sticks. Not just recently but before too. I try to stay away from using 4 1 gig sticks and use 2 2 gig sticks when I want 4 gigs.

it seems only some corsair psu's. i had a 520hx and it wouldn't work correctly with my abit ip35 pro. same issues that everyone else had (wouldn't boot after leaving the bios for adjustments, or just to look at settings) something about the boot circuits - can't remember off top of my head the exact details.

mine went back for an RMA a few days ago. i won't be using the replacement, i picked up a thermaltake 650w modular that's working just fine.

my opinion, if you already have the psu, try it. if you get the symptoms then RMA it and make your decisions from there on what to do.

here's my specs:
Q6600 "G0" @ 3.51ghz (390x9)
tuniq tower 120
abit IP35 Pro
4x1gb ballistix ddr800
TT W0128RU 650w
2x74gb raptors raid0 (OS drive)
2x200gb sata seagates (storage)
and yes, the abit forums seem to be down today for some reason.

edit:
and this board has no problems working with 4x1gb dimms. at least not the flavor i'm using. they run great at 1.96v but it's underclocked a little.
