Any problems with Audigy Platinum?

Ok, so my Turtle Beach SantaCruz card kicked the bucket and now I'm without sound. I was thinking of getting a Creative Audigy Platinum (cause of the front bezel I/O ports of course!), but have read about this lockup/squealing/windows XP problem. Anyhow, I was wondering if any of you have Audigy's that are working correctly, which drivers you are using, and what motherboard chipset and CPU you are using. Also, if you ARE having/had problems with an Audigy, please let me know what your configuration is.

I'm running:

Intel Pentium 4 1.5GHz
ASUS P4B266-C i845D chipset motherboard
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500
512MB PC2100 CL2 Mushkin DDR SDRAM
Netgear FA311 NIC
Windows XP Pro

If anyone knows of any known incompatibilities with the Audigy and my hardware, please let me know.

Thanks.

Click to see my specs down below... no problems with my VIA chipset... used the same card with an ASUS A7V133 and Soyo K7V Dragon Plus! without problems.

Here's what you can do...buy the card from a store that will accept a return within X amount of days...if you don't like it--go back and get yourself another TBSC.

I don`t have the Audigy Platinum but have the Audigy Player(European version of the Audigy Gamer) anyway no problems at all with it & my VIA board(Epox 8KHA+) in WinXP, drivers installed fine which was setup from CD first then got the latest driver updates from Creative Labs website, and all my games I`ve tried since last December work ok,I do game a lot.
