Any problems running Battlefield 2 on Vista 64 w/ 4GB of ram?

My friend who builds my computers is trying to convenience me to upgrade from XP to Vista 64 bit. I have 4 GB of ram I'd like to use.

My concern is Battlefield 2 which I still play once in a while. I've heard in the past that BF2 had trouble w/ Vista 64 especially w/ more than 2GB of ram. I can find plenty of forum discussions about this from 2007 but not that many recent ones.

Is this still a problem or have recent BF2 or Vista patches helped resolve this issue?

I have zero issues, a friend of mine with a very similar setup can't get it to run at all.

I have no idea why it's like that. I think the only difference is that I have a 4870x2 and he has an 8800GTX.
