Like the title asks, anyone have problems or opinions on 21:9 Ultra Widescreen gaming?

It sounds like a great idea for both movies AND games, but are games like Fallout NV, Civilization 4 or 5, etc going to freak out at the odd res?

Some games aren't gonna scale correctly and like BSim500 said the best place to look up solutions would be WGF.

Most games are fantastic, the extra width is great for immersion. I wouldn't want to go back.

Widescreen fixer and Flawless Widescreen are your best friends if some games don't work out of the box.

Are you thinking 3440 x 1440 or 2560 x 1080?

If 3440 x 1440, colour me jelly.

Well it'd certainly look nicer than gaming on triple monitors -- no irritating black borders between screens. Movies in their proper format... just makes sense to me.

I might sell off my nice 27" to get one... pity they're not getting bigger than 29" very quickly...

Have you every tried triple monitors?

Because triple monitors is 48:9 compared to 21:9.

If you get 3440x1440 then that is a very good choice.

Generally custom fixes only happen in AAA games. If you play alot of indie games or old console ports for example there really is no hope.

I hope they release a reasonably priced 3440x1440 monitor in the States soon. That LG for $1k is just too much money
