Hey composer! what type of rig are you using and setup? here's mine in a nutshell...

amd64 2.4ghz w/ k8n platinum
1gb ram
2xseagate 80gb (one for OS and apps) (other for recording)

running a motu 828mkII via firewire into my msi k8n neo platinum. using event tr8 monitors, ibanez RG series electric, edirol pcr 30, presonus eureka channel. cubase sx 2 and reason 2.5 using vst/i native instruments guitar rig, waves bundle, and reaktor. mostly program industrial music and game soundtrack music.

using reaktor pegs my cpu to almost 100% with the vst fx loops i usually setup. you would think a 2.4ghz a64 was more powerful... lol

this is one contest the G5 rules in.

I'm more of an amateur audio user :beer:

I have an Athlon 2500+ in a Biostar SFF system, with an Audiophile 2496 and DMP3 preamp. I use Sonar 2 with some Timeworks plugins, Reason 2.5, and Fruity Loops for drum tracks.
