Any point in me bothering with more air cooling?

My cpu used to be around 75-78*C underload, then I took off the cover and stuck a fan the same size as my pc at an angle so it blows like the airflow I once had. My temps dropped to 56-59*C underload(xp 2100 processor) anyways, I was wondering if theres anything I can do to improve my aircooling situation, or is the best it will get?

well the 75-78*c were from a month or 2 ago, and I do live in Florida, back then in my house alone it would be 89-94*F, now its actually oc'd a tad bit.

wow my prescott was nowhere near that and i live in georgia where it gets pretty hot.

sounds like you have bad contact with the cpu, a crappy heatsink, a palamino core, and badly designed airflow

like I said it is runing under the 60's when underload and shes overclocked, it is a palamino core. Iknow how the airflow is supposed to be, I just had too much clutter in my case, and dont think I could get the full benifit

All that wind is gonna bring a lot of dust into your case...but it sure is good cooling

What's your heatsink and fan? Are they seated properly?
