I had an introductory rate of $39.99/mp for 15/2 cable internet and which recently ended and went to its "normal" price of $63.99/mo.
I called Cox yesterday and the options they gave me were $42.99/mo for 10/1 or $56.99/mo for 30/3. I told the dude on the phone to drop it to 10/1.
When I log into my account I get an offer for 12 months of 30/3 for $5 more a month than the 10/1 rate, so $47.99 total. Interestingly enough that offer was immediately available to me online even though the guy on the phone was trying to sell me 30/3 for $56.99/mo. The guy also lied to me and said I wouldn't be able to stream HD. I rarely download large files and my uses include general web browsing and streaming with maybe 2 or 3 devices connected at a maximum. Occasionally I'll fire up TF2 if I want to air blast some rockets back into soldiers' faces. With my use case, is there really any reason to upgrade to 30/3 even keeping in mind it is "only" $5 more per month?
They have much faster speeds available but I'm not even considering them.
