Any PlayStation2 Discounts/Rebates???????????????????????

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of any rebates or discounts for the upcoming release of PlayStation2 on October 26th, 2000.

My only thought was to wait until it comes out on MERCATA (hopefully the first day) and then hope that it doesn't cost more than the $300 base price. After it would be released on MERCATA, there would be such a mad rush for it that the price would go down a lot.

Also, if you join with MERCATA, they offer up $100-MERCATA Dollars that can be used on any item, up to 20% of that item, for no more than the $100 that they give you.

Does anyone else have any plans to get this for a cheap price when it comes out?

I mean, I can also get a nice discount at the WIZ which would probably bring it down to about $225, but if I cannot do that, I wanted other options.

You did be lucky if you can get it for the full price when it come out.
There are already people out there advertising to sell it for 2 or 3 times as much.

i know if you have a sony card, you can get 3% back on all sony product purchases.
if you buy it from outpost, you can probably get some flooz and 5% rebate from p....click
