just got my package (which I had delivered to work) from Amazon...definitely like the feel of the guitar better than the GH guitars...

can't wait to get home and try this puppy out...the drum thing looks pretty sweet...

opinions/thought from anyone here???

The game doesn't present its progress as straightforwardly as Guitar Hero (i.e., you don't just play through every song to unlock the next ones; you have to do play "gigs" and don't really know which songs you've unlocked until you play them.)

Even on easy, the drum foot pedal threw me off and I could barely pass simple songs.

But, overall, we had a blast playing it for several hours yesterday.

***Important note to anyone who sucks more than they should***

I have played drums for the last ~10 years. I only played in school for 4 years or so, but I still play recreationally/when drunk/etc whenver I get a chance.

The first hour I played this game, I SUCKED. It felt like the timing was totally off. I started to get it down after a while, and I was hitting each note a split second early -- When I did this, I would pass songs.

I was getting really frustrated, thinking that I sucked at drums. I mentioned this to my friend (who was playing guitar) and he said that he felt like he had to hit notes early too.

We went in the main options and changed the calibration settings to DLP (because our TV is a DLP, duh), and it worked PERFECT. Everything feels right now. So happy I found this option.

My friend has this and he says it's the best game he's played for a long time, even better than GH. He was also a drummer and it gives him good practice.
