don't think so. I think everyone can afford about 5$ for a hosting service.

If you ahve broadband access host it on your own. Just setup the cheapest box you can, put Win2kPro on it with Apache, PHP, and MysQL and you're set!

Yes RippleHost owns I dunno how they can offer 100MB/1GB webhosting with PHP, MySQL, Perl, etc. for $4.99 the first year.

they pretty much need to sell thousands to even turn a profit. then again, i guess they cut cost by only providing forum support and whatnot.

Alan knows that he's making $0 profit from RippleHost and I dunno why he even does it but I'm not complaining.
