Ah cool. Im not a big Cessna fan, but ive learned to like them. I started out in Diamonds, and as a result i LOVE low wing planes.

i absolutely HATE the 150, but i figure if i can get that twitchy light as a kite underpowered POS to fly smooth it will make the ones with more weight a piece of cake

Yep, the difference between a 150 and a 182 is HUGE, even though the feel similar.

As for light, try some Light sport stuff when you get a chance. I flew a CTSW, with a MAX takeoff weight of <1300 lbs.

Never got a license for a light airframe.

Need to do so now that the kids are out of the house.

Hey, don't scoff at that handheld:D
When I first got the 310 it had a gutted panel, so I bought a brand new King KX-99.
I clipped it onto an empty 3 1/8" instrument hole and told everyone I had a full king panel.
I lost my "good" radio on the way into IAD (Washington Dulles) and the King did the trick, hooked up to the external antenna and my headset with a PTT switch:thumbsup:
