Any Phoenix users? (mozilla users can probably help too)

I've got two pesky little problems with phoenix,

1.) When I open the first browser everything's fine. But when I open a second one it asks me which profile to use. I want it to use the same profile as the last one, but it won't let me, it says its already in use. Is there any way to get it to always use the same profile, and not prompt/bother me each time?

2.) Every time I enter a username/password it offers to remember it for me. I don't ever want to use this feature so I'd like to disable it. I know how to do so in Mozilla, but the options don't seem to be in the same place/available in phoenix.

Can anyone help me with these two?

If the first browser window is open, then no. But, you should be able to open another window through the primary interface under File >> New >> Navigator window or CRTL+N (This is Mozilla, not sure about the exact spot in Phoenix). I do know that Phoenix is supposed to allow for tabbed browsing, this is a fantastic feature as well.

Hope this helps.

For passwords, it's fairly easy in mozilla, so I'm guessing they must have disabled the feature in phoenix... All you do is go to edit->prefs->privacy & security -> Passwords. I have a checkbox in there for remembering passwords under mozilla

thanks for the prefs.js lead clever.

I made a copy of mozilla's prefs.js, opened mozilla, disbabled password manager, diff'd the new prefs.js with the old one, and copied that line into phoenix's prefs.js. Problem solved.

Sometimes I don't know wether to love open source because this kind of stuff is do-able, or hate open source because this kind of stuff is necissary.

I'm about to go try out Galeon... can IE6 be run in WINE?
