I am glad I entertained you, but I am not sure what you find so hard to believe. Do you (a) not believe I am a lawyer, or (b) not believe law school is hard? Just curious. In which field is your graduate degree?

Of course I believe you are a lawyer... No one else would be so foolish as to compare a JD to a PhD.

Yes law school is hard. It, however, is not the same as a PhD program which involves an independent study program.

Good for you - I don't doubt that neurophysiology is brutally hard. My mother has a JD and a PhD (admittedly in English Lit) and has always maintained that grad school was fun and her PhD was a breeze compared to her JD. A friend in law school had an MD, and he also said that law school was worse, so I hardly think my statement was "foolish"; sorry you disagree.

Again, though, I am not implying that an English Lit program is anywhere near as challenging as your studies (though frankly I imagine an MD is not much easier).
