When I was a baby in my crib I rolled over to look out the window. I saw a clown outside looking right at me. I stated to cry and was pushing my legs trying to get out of my crib and my leg got stuck. My father came and broke the crib to get my leg out. I asked him a few years back if he remembers breaking my crib to get my leg out and he confirmed it and I told him what I saw. Was it a person or something else? I don't know... creepy as hell though.

I'm more impressed that you can remember being a baby in your crib. I have a hard time remember anything before being able to drink and I'm only 25.

I used to get slain by the Holy Ghost and Babbled incoherently many times.

IOW, nope, never had any Paranormal experiences.

Ive seen a group of aircraft that I couldn't not Identify... that would make them UFOs. 😛
(Like 5+ at just about the max range my binoculars could see.. really was randomly just looking at the sky at found them as they were not viable without them)
Seriously though they were not so normal looking with wings in the front and back being about equal size.

One night about a year ago, a couple of my friends and I decided to go explore a place called the "Secret Sidewalk". It's in Niles Canyon, about 15 minutes from our house. It sounded kind of creepy, so being the stupid teenagers we are, we decided to go at around 6:30 in the evening.

We got there, parked the car, then walked up the railroad embankment. From there, we would follow the railroad tracks to our destination, an old abandoned brick factory. Then from there, we could access the "Secret Sidewalk", which was an old aqueduct that twisted along the sides of the canyon.

It was fall, so the days were getting short, and it was getting dark already. We proceeded along the railroad tracks for about 10 minutes. There was lots of trash along the tracks, old TV's, refrigerators, couches, etc. One thing we did notice that seemed a little out of place were lots of bones - not just single bones, but whole carcasses, mostly picked clean of all tissue. These weren't small carasses either. Something big was being killed and eaten out here.

Suddenly, we heard a rumbling, and deduced that a train was coming. On one side of the track was a pretty sharp drop off, and on the other, a steep hill. We chose to stand on a four or five foot strip of ground in between the tracks and the hill/cliff face.

As the train thundered up the tracks towards us, it's bright light sharply illuminated the few hundred feet in front of us. We noticed that we had actually almost reached the brick factory, and that there was a tunnel that the tracks disappeared into.

The engine passed us, leaving only the small light of the moon filtering through the branches above, and in between the gaps of the box cars clanking along the tracks a few feet from us. I pulled out my flashlight, and started to see if I could illuminate the factory that was on the other side of the tracks, when there was a gap in the box cars.

I could see the factory. I turned to pass the light to one of my friends so he could look around also, just as the last car of the train passed. The beam swept over the other side of the tracks.

There were two figures standing on the other side of the track. One, an older man, disheveled and wearing torn up clothing, with a 4-5" knife in hand, the blade gleaming in the moonlight. The other, a young girl, with flowing brown hair, and a white dress, with blood stains up the front of it.

They stood, motionless, as my brain tried to comprehend what I was seeing.

My friends saw the two figures. They were quicker to react than I was, and started to back the way we came. I quickly turned and followed suit. I heard a scream, and footsteps pounding behind me. I dropped my flashlight, and the light from it disappeared. Suddenly, everything was pitch black, and we were running nearly blind through the night. I lost the train tracks, and slipped down the hill that was next to the tracks, on the other side from where we were before.

I stopped sliding once I had reached the bottom. I heard several more screams, and hoped it wasn't my friends being murdered by a knife wielding psycho.

I didn't want to attract attention to myself, so I stayed quiet and hoped my friends would make it out alright.

I realized I was on a road, and followed the road for about a mile, through the darkness, until I came upon a house which was on the edge of town, near to where we had parked.

There was an old man sitting on his porch, with a small lantern lighting up the immediate vicinity. Seeing the expression on my face, he asked me what was wrong. I quickly explained what I had seen.

A strange look crossed his face. He said,

"About fifty years ago, a young girl who lived at this house went out at night with a man. She never made it back. Her remains were found, one and a half weeks later. She was wearing a white dress, and had been stabbed multiple times by the man. The man was later found hanging from a tree, near the factory. I don't know what you just saw, but it sounds like you've just seen a ghost."

I haven't gone back since :ninja:

My two instances are the following,

1. When I was a kid we were playing and throwing a ball high into the sky and see whose throw took it highest. Well a bunch of us saw this ring of smoke, a perfect circle that was high up and moving real slow. [ There was not a single cloud nearby, so it was very distinct.

2. In college, me and a friend had dinner and was walking back. The house we rented was right next to a cemetery. It was around 11 pm and we just had dinner [ no alchohol] and were walking back through a petty dark patch He was telling me a story of how his neighbor locked herself and just poured some gasoline over her and lit herself on fire. Supposedly he heard her screams and kicked down the door and tried to save her. but she was pretty dead and died shirtly after. Right after this, as we turned the corner, past a training ground, both of us saw a large flame, an actual fluttering flame about the size of an hand at treetop level. That shit was moving at tree top level and felt lile it was carried by a bird. [ we couldnt see what was carrying it, but it was flying at a large bird speed, like one of those migratory birds]. The flickering flame kept moving top of us , cross the training geound and kept going on. We were both staring at it, out feet stuck to the ground and when it dissapeared over the nearest building took off to the apt. That was one of the weirdest/ scariest things I have seen.

That's fucking scary. That would make be believe god or something right away

That crap is all bunk.

I did have an axe murderer try to truck jack me once. He acted superhuman but he was just on PCP.

Did you ever let him out of the basement?

Why bother with tales of ghosts and goblins? Oldsmoboat's basement holds far more terror than all the halloween stories combined...

Santa clause spoke to me through the shower drain and told me to be a good boy when I was a kid. Still bugs the hell out of me I can't figure it out.

GF has encountered ghosts a few times.

The only spirits I've encountered, however, have been at the bottom of a bottle :\

lol. This thread is now about disproving the existence of god, while at the same time trying to prove the existence of aliens.

I love ghost stories and I wrote a report about extraterrestrials when I was in elementary. I have never seen or heard anything related to ghosts or aliens.

Nope. As a horror/sci-fi fan, I'd love to encounter something like that, unfortunately I think it's all fairy tales and bullshit.

KT

The horror side of things, no you wouldn't love to encounter that. People that do don't generally love to chat about it either.

I actually saw a UFO once. Not saying it's alien, just an unidentifiable flying object. Ex and I just knocked it out bout 15 minutes before and started watching something on TV. I went out to have a smoke and was talking to her from the door and I looked out over Palos Verdes Peninsula and saw this like small green orb zoom in from over the ocean(heading East inland) stopped right over the hill for a split second then zoomed off Southeast in an almost perfect 90 degree angle from which it came. Nothing I know about can fly like so I thought it was pretty cool. I doubt any of you will believe me though.

This is similar to what I saw, though mine was more whitish yellow but it came zooming in very quickly then it almost instantly turned 90 degrees and did so several times before I lost sight of it. Freaked me out.

My brother and his friend claim they saw a silver cigar shaped object, as it was hovering there a few smaller orbs came out of it and went in different directions.

Sure, I've had them all. OOBE, demonic possession, astral projection, alien abduction and mind probing, spirits, ghosts, you name it.

I was hallucinating (just like everyone else who experiences these):

Mine were related to narcolepsy, which is associated with sleep paralysis and hallucinations. Other disorders or conditions known to cause them are temporal lobe epilepsy, brain injury, substance abuse, and various mental illness.

Nah I wasn't hallucinating I've hallucinated many times before.

UFOs are really a separate issue as there are all kinds of natural phenomena that could account for UFOs. I've seen one myself that wasn't caused by a hallucination, since someone else was with me and saw the same thing.

These are the worst. I don't dream of demons, but I have dreams about insects. I'll wake up absolutely convinced that insects are touching my feet, but after freaking out and throwing the blanket on the floor and looking everywhere, I find nothing.

At least I'm not bothered by shadow people. Shadow people is an extension of the effect where humans tend to see faces and figures out of random shapes. You see a mars rock that looks like a face, a cloud that looks like a face, and shadows that look like poeple. It's absolutely terrifying to the people who experience it.

http://www.monstropedia.org/index.php?title=Shadow_people
Most accounts of shadow people describe them as black humanoid silhouettes, lacking mouths or eyes, although they are sometimes reported to have red or yellow eyes. They are generally described as lacking mass, although their specific nature varies from two-dimensional (like a shadow) to vaporous or distorted. Their movement is often reported as being very quick and disjointed, or "jiggly", in the sense that they first may move slowly like a fluid (similar to jello rather than water), then rapidly "hop" to another part of a witness' surroundings. Some witnesses describe this movement as though the shadow entities they have seen "danced" from one wall to the next.
Observers of shadow people most commonly report that the forms appear at the edge of their field of vision, and that they disintegrate or move into walls when noticed, usually within a split second. However, many also report shadow people appearing in the center of their vision, appearing very close to them, or remaining for several seconds before disappearing. Some individuals have described being menaced, chased, or (more rarely) attacked or raped by shadow people.

I love reading "theories" about that these are.
http://magickgarden******************ShadowPeople.html
Sightings have been made all over the world. Shadow people are unlike Ghost because they don't seem to be human. They try to take a humanoid form but its hard for them to do. The eyes are the only thing really recognizable.

Theories

Shadow people are the combined energies of negative thoughts.

Shadow people are beings from another dimension that occasionally overlaps with ours.

Shadow people are Demons.

Shadow people are the souls of the ill or dying.

Hypnogogia

Shadow people are a side effect of illegal drugs.

Shadow People are a side effect of being around too much electricity.
The bolded ones are actually true. Not really negative thoughts, some peoples brains are just wired to see humanoid shapes everywhere. Meth tends to cause things like shadow people and intense delusions. Not like you see shadow people, but you believe shadow people are watching you and you just can't see them. Hypno was already explained. Strong electromagnetic fields do have an effect on your brain.

once I read this amazing story on ATOT about being lost and some lever and a talking snake . it was about some god powers or something and an unexpected ending 😀

several things:

Used to have out of body experiences while still quite young, I remember standing in my crib looking out the window and just willing myself to fly. I would go flying around and when I came back, my mom was upset because I had gone into convultions. I used to have to take phenobarbital but evetually I grew out of it.

I did see a gray circular object while working a paper route when I was about 13 or 14.

And I did go see a mysterious light in the Upper Peninsula when I was in my early 20's, 25 years ago. we were all drinking. I believe this is it.

And in my home town, Kemper Hall is supose to be haunted. I haven't experienced it personally, but one of my childhood friends has said he did.

Back in the late 70's early 80's I room and boarded at a ranch ( small local ) that had a 20 stall barn with an arena for locals to board their horses. We worked daily to clean stalls / feed horses / drag the arena an all sorts of chores. There was a stall that we could never put any horses in as we would be awaken during the night because the horse would be going berserk in that stall. We would get the horse out and every time their eyes would be really wide and they would be snorting and shivering.

It didn't matter whose horse we put in there by that night the same result would happen. Every horse we took out of that stall had dug deep to the cement flooring in all four corners of the stall and kicked holes in the walls. We even put a couple cows in there to see what would happen and sure enough the cows would go bonkers later that night as well. Strange too was how the cows had also dug deep in the corners like the horses.

Many times working late in that barn as we were on one end of it ... the lights would start being shut off ... you could hear the switches on the main panel being flipped and we would race to the room where the switches were only to have nobody there ( the only way out of that room was a single door that we would have seen someone running away from ). Every night when we finished our chores we hand checked each stall door ( pulling on them ) as we walked to the main barn doors to exit. We then needed to look down the the sides of the stalls to see it we had made sure to close fully the stall doors ( if we didn't fully shut them we could see them sticking out a bit by looking in this manor ). About 10 different times as we were looking back at the stall doors the stall that we couldn't use would just fly forcefully open and bang against the wall as if someone kicked open.

We did some research and found out that the previous owners had a teenage son who hanged himself it that stall a few years before. It started to make sense as to why this stall was so weird. This stall was the only stall out of the twenty stalls that had a thick cross beam over head and this is where this kid hung himself. The owner finally just converted the stall to a tac room and removed the beam. All the strange things stopped from that point on.
