Any performance gain?

Have a 1800+@2.2ghz 11x200. Curious how much(if any) performance I can gain by dropping the multiplier and upping the FSB? I have PC3200 OCZ Performance Gold 2.5-3-3-6.

Kinda new to o/cing memory. What should I set the timings to before I go past 200FSB? Also what voltage should I use on the memory and whats the max? Current I think is 2.6(I think).

I doubt your memory will go very far, but its worth a shot. If you could get it to 220, I'd say youd see a noticeable difference, but don't think it's gonna be anything astonishing.

Try it with the current memory timings. If it doesn't post, then set them to maybe 3-3-3-6. If still doesn't post, you can try to loosen some more. If you do get it to post, then I would run memtest before trying anything else. I wouldn't go more than 2.75v maybe 2.8v on the memory, but it a little at a time to see if it's stable, don't push it all at once.

stevty2889 is right. OCing memory is just like any other OC. Babysteps up, one thing at a time. When things get even a little weird, back off. Good luck ^Sniper^! Lets us know how it goes.
