any parents have experience with kids getting Croup?

Scared the heck out of me, he seemed like he was having trouble breathing, and wasn't able to say anything, just a horrible coughing noise....yikes!

Called the Dr, and a nurse called back, walked me through some home remedies, but said to keep an eye and ear on it......

3 kids 5 and under isn't easy!

We used the bathroom shower technique

Went into the bathroom and closed the door and all the windows. Turned the shower all the way on and steamed everything up. Wasnt perfect, but helped more than anything else.

I just did that too...was sweating my A off! It did help though, he's back to sleep now..

i used to get it when i was a kid. buy a humidifier or do what winston said.
