Any other options besides itunes

My aunt was having problems with itunes on her laptop. She had older version of it so i unstalled old verison and downloaded 7.5 version but when i try to install it itunes "cant run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall itunes". Ive tried a few different installs but it wont work. Are there any other programs that you can use with ipod to do what itunes does.
