any other nvidia overclocking utility that does auto detect?

What card are you using? IIRC only the FX and 6 series will autodetect.

yeah...Shady, my 4200 doesn't auto-detect either
FXs and 6800s only i think.

i dled rivatuner, got to the overclocking setting but i didnt see an option for auto detect

Isn't there a program on the driver cd which came with your video card? My MSI video card has some great tools on their driver cd including one for overclocking.

just use powerstrip. and load your profile, or just go scan on powerstrip...
