I also eat cous cous, Nan and chapatti, Pasta and whole grain bread with my entrees.

It probably has more to do with how you were raised than your ethnicity.

cous cous totally rocks !! :)

If I cough up the money for steak, it's absolutely going to be accompanied by a huge, real, (not microwaved) baked potato with real butter AND sour cream, damn it! It's also going to have a fresh lettuce salad with "Wishbone Italian" dressing and it wouldn't hurt to have fresh green beans and/or corn on the cob as well!

Hell yes. I eat rice with almost anything.

here's another trick:

mix cubed tomatoes with onion and creole seasoning (i use tony chachere's), a little bit of soy sauce. BAM!

This we'll do even without the rice. But, I still eat steak with rice most of the time!

DAMN!!! now I have to go to the kitchen and find something to eat:)

Hmm Kimchi. Taste good but gives you deadly burps. Kimchi Burps smell worse than the nastiest farts.

ROFL :D

If you think that's bad, try Kal-Bi (Korean style marinated beef). It's real good but gives you real nasty Kal-Bi burps. My friends and I joke about Kal-Bi burps all the time. I think it's the garlic in it (same w/ the Kimchee).

I hear when in Korea, riding in an elevator after lunch can be rather interesting.

A1 sauce mixed with steak juices mixed with the rice on your plate.....mmmmm :D

Back when I lived with mom, steak nights would frequently include steak, steamed rice, and garlic bread or biscuits/dinner rolls. And yes the leftover steak sauce and juices with the rice is absolute yum. :D

Although being asian I end up eating rice with just about everything anyway heh. There used to be an asian restaurant nearby that served their steak with rice and eggs. That was good stuff.

Heck, this one restarant in Las Vegas... some ghetto casino on Fremont Street, serves prime rib with rice as the side.
