Hey guys, I will be purchasing an imac soon, not sure which year imac I will purchase but looking into this issue first, any way for me to add 2 monitors to an imac? To clarify, I am not seeking to extend the view of the imac but rather I need to edit docs separately on each monitor, any ideas please? I had a dual monitor option in win10 on my XPS desktop so I need something similar just with 2 more separate monitors.

Looking at this article here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202351

If I am understanding the link correctly, it's only viewing the same content and will only allow use of one external monitor?

You should be able to hook up displays that have display port support via the Thunderbolt ports on the iMac.

You can certainly extend the desktop, or mirror. Macs have had this functionality for 30 years.

Yes, I found that out yesterday from Apple support. Sorry I had forgotten to report back here but I appreciate you responding.
