I've never really considered it a 2nd job, but I've "moon-lighted" several times as a bouncer. It's kind of fun to kick the drunks out. Even more fun when they decide they can kick your ass or beat you at something ridiculous like a footrace down the hallway. 😛

yes, i worked as a server for a small restaurant in the "happy" side of town. nothing like being asked by customers if they could bathe me in olive oil. 😱

I've never really worked two jobs at a time, but if I were to pick a second job that I'd do for enjoyment, it'd be working in a convenience store. I did that all through high school and a lot in college, and I really enjoyed it. Lots of interesting things happen, and at a small store the staff is like a family. Unfortunately the pay is not so great.

Another job I really liked was custom closet installation (like California Closets). It kept me in good shape (going up and down stairs all day, carrying heavy materials), and it presented a lot of challenging problem solving situations. It paid a lot better than the convenience store, but I think the guy I worked for paid better than average for that job (he only lasted a few years; really he only lasted for one year, but he didn't want to let it die).

both bus boy and dishwasher. incredibly tough jobs due to the stamina required. I remember regularly having to load and ferry around a few tons of debris during demo at other jobs and the dishwashing/bus boy job was much harder.

I would do that for a new Nvidia video card.

haha wtf?

Senior year of college I worked an internship mon-fri and delivered pizza on the weekends. It's pretty much the easiest job ever but you put a ton of miles on your car.
