It seemed OK. The part when the little girl shows everyone she had the diary was funny ah hell. There are so many ways this series can go. I just hope they don't have to many things going on.

Is it more or does Geena Davis mumbles when she talks?

Would it surprise anyone to find out this is hollyweird's thinly veiled attempt to show people, "See? It's not so bad having a liberal woman as president!", in the vain hope that someone may actually vote Hillary into office???

I firmly believe that the show was made to get us used to the idea of a female president. so when hillary runs, it will not seem that strange.

The opening premise killed it for me: Republican President picks an Independent Female to replace the Vice President after the Vice President does something (can't remember if he died or stepped down). President quickly dies and asks her to step-down while on his deathbed. She doesn't and the party is upset. One speech and all is hunky-dory.

I can only suspend my disbelief so far.

it bothers the hell out of me. she doesn't fully open her mouth when she speaks. i keep yelling at the TV to lay off the botox or the collagen implants.

No......... the President picked her as his running mate to get the womens vote. In episode 2 you see her debating with another VP candidate.

Althought...... I would not think a Rep or Dem would pick an independant for a running partner.

Ok, that's right. I couldn't remember exactly what it was that got her the vice-presidential role. Still, like you said, picking an independant is not believable. Nor asking her to step-down. Nor one speech and everybody is seemingly happy with her.

The "independent" angle is just a ruse so that the show's creators can say that they aren't leaning left or right. But, like Martin Sheen's TV President, this looks like another democrat fantasy presidency.

Pretty much sums it up for me.

Just more trash from Hollywood. I watch House and Family Guy... the rest can (and will) go the way of the Dodo.

Except Gina Davis doesn't think she's *actually* the President
