Also what CPU did you use it on?? I am really thinking about getting this for my Q6600 just want to know if it works like the reviews I have read and what your experience has been with it???

not sure where you get your info from, but most user reviews I read regarding the Coolit Freezone havent been very good. For the most part it looks cool but it's a gimmick.

I haven't used that particular unit, but have used some of their other units. You can dial in the temperature you want and it will (try) to keep at that temperature. Unless your heat output is too much for the radiator and TECs to handle, it should do a good job of keeping at that temperature. That's the unique thing about their products - the TECs and the control unit.

With that being said, I probably wouldn't use one. I've already discovered their software (for the control unit) can conflict with other software in certain circumstances. Also, while it is good for locking down at a decent temperature, to do that sometimes the fan ramps up REALLY LOUD! So, good on temperature, bad on noise level. Then again, I like my systems to be quiet.

I quickly scanned some reviews and would have to say it's not exactly worth the money. Once you start OC'ing and start hitting the 3.6Ghz barrier it starts to perform very poor; no better than if you bought a top performing air cooling heatsink. Also to my knowledge there's no TEC cooler on the market that can handle an overclocked quad core anyway. I personally wouldn't use it; if you want a cooler running quad core I would suggest either going with a top performing heatsink or switching to a custom watercooling loop.

I'm not positive, but I think their TEC doesn't cool the chip directly, but instead cools the water in the loop. There is no power running to their blocks.

And yeah, I wouldn't use one either... unless they made it a bit better, and made it fit an X-Qpack2 without looking fugly.
