I have a (cheaper) pair of Timberlands that are about 10 years old. They are in okay shape, but getting pretty abused looking, and I'm not quite into that style any longer. I heard about Wolverine 1000's from The Art of Maniless youtube channel, and decided to give them a look.

I like the style, they seem classy, yet rugged... But... Pretty pricey. Not many reviews on Amazon, so I was hoping some of you guys have owned these and can offer up opinion. Are they worth the ~$325? I only paid $100 for my Tims and they have held up pretty well over the last decade.

PS- I guess if it matters, I'm not looking for work boots. Looking for a boot to wear out with jeans to something requiring better attire than sneakers, but not full on dress shoe. Say a nice bar, club, etc.

The Wolverine's are really nice but if it were me, I'd probably settle for a pair of Rockport's at half the price.

What always wears out for me on shoes is the heel, or the inside materials. For dress shoes, I only buy one brand now. I don't have a lot of recommendations for hiking boots because I usually buy them to be somewhat replaceable. If you actually hike in them, they tend to need fumigation from the frequent wet/dry cycle they go through. Some boots handle that better than others.

don't own a pair but the boots definitely look good. you could save by going with factory seconds. sometimes sierra trading post will have them around $140 or so. they're goodyear welted so you can get them resoled.

If you do find them on Sierra Trading post, look around for coupons. They often have 30% and 40% off coupons floating around. Especially if you buy something from them...they'll send you a coupon sometimes immediately after placing an order.

Will keep an eye out. Just checked sierra trading post... No 1000 mile boots currently.

Are these sold retail at all? Few people online said these fit differently than other boots and they needed a smaller size.

I've been wanting a pair of 1000 mile or Red Ring Iron Rangers for some time now.

My everyday boot is currently Clark's Desert Boot. Reasonably priced, timeless, and durable.

I think I've seen them in store, nordstrom maybe? I don't love their style, I gotta think you can find something similar for cheaper. or something nicer for the same price

Nike turbine was the goat shoe. I got the yellow ones. Bros and broads were miring in HS
