Any one know any good games....

Hi guys i plan to get the 6800GS and i'm looking for game's with good grfix also i have an Xbox so i want some games for that as well.

I was thinking of these games for the PC:

1... Prince of Persia Warrior Within

2...Tribes Vengeance

3... Half life 2

4...Warhammer 40K(Dawn of war)

5...Warhammer (Winter Assault)

6...GTA : Vice city and San An..

7...Quake 4


Now these are the games i'm thinking of for the Xbox:

1...burnout 3

2...burnout revenge

3...halo2

If any one has played any of these games please telll me if its a good game or not.

Also if you know any other games that are good please tell me.

HL2 is great. Get it.

Loved Vice City, Burnout (if you don't have 3, might as well get Revenge), and I think if you own an XBox you HAVE to get Halo 1 and 2...

Warrior Within wasn't my cup of tea. I liked the appraoch they did with The Sands of Time, but they tried to MTV-ify the sequel, so to speak.

2. Absolutely not, you'll hate it. Trust me.
3. I will have to say no. It's a beautiful game, but the single-player is rather boring and you have to deal with Steam. It's just not worth it IMO.
4 & 5. Sure. it's not bad as far as RTS go.
6. GTA is rather dull and boring, plus this isn't exactly going to test your graphics card...
7. Graphics aren't that great, neither is gameplay.

Now these are the games i'm thinking of for the Xbox:

1...burnout 3

2...burnout revenge

3...halo2

Burnout is awesome, I have revenge. It's a lot of fun. Halo 2 on the other hand was only in my possession for 1 day. That game seriously sucked ass and it went back to the store.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (massive RPG)
Quake 4 (what doom3 SHOULD have been)
Call of Duty 2 (mdchesney is a big fan of the CoD series)
Unreal Tournment 2007 (mdchesne knows it's coming out in a year or so and believes the things the developers are doing is incredible)

Do you know how hard it is to stop someone from getting your flag when they fly at 200mph and all you have are slow projectile weapons? The game sucks ass. I got a top kill count on one map of 17. I can do twice that in any other game. Hell, in a normal CTF game, I could do 4 times that.

Just pick'd up Far Cry at Best Buy on Friday, grafix suck cause i'm using onboard video...
the ground is like blue all the time even in the water, the only reason i can run the game is cause of my 3.2 Ghz CPU, and my 1 gig ram.

I'm just waiting for my 6800GS so i can try the game at full blast.

I don't agree with Malak about Half life 2, I think the single player is great. Also Call of Duty 2 is good.

20 minutes in between battles with headcrabs and slowly moving zombies is fun? You spend more time doing nothing but running around than you do actually using your weapons. Why don't we just call it Myst:Freeman instead?

The Tribes:Vengeance single player campaign is simply awesome. One of the more original contributions to the SP FPS genre. Played it start to finish and loved every minute of it.

Do you already have CIV4? That's a great game that just came out.

It's a turn based strategy game. Huge in scope - you control 1 of more than a dozen civilizations from 4000bc into the 21st century and beyond. Judging by the games you've already listed, civ might be a little slow for your tastes, but if you think turn based could be alright you can't do much better than Civ 4

I played HL2, and I liked it. The graphics are good, and the gameplay is fun also. Definitely play Farcry with a decent video card, you're missing a lot from onboard graphics. A few other FPS games I liked are Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Chronicles of Riddick.

Among the others listed for PC I'd recommend Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Very fun game, good story, fun melee action with the katana.
