I had the same thing, I set the slider from 20-30 and it took about 10 minutes to get them downloaded, uploading worked fine...

Did have an odd thing I have never seen before though, a new candidate took nearly 5 minutes doing the first conformer (instead of half a minute) and when it finally finished it, it was now on #4 and where there should of been #1-3 on the left side was actually
Conformer 1
Conformer 1
Conformer 1

all fitness stats were identical!

I have a screen of it, but maybe this is normal???

Anyway, it's

No thats not normal. Shut down your engine completely and restart it. If you use the Suspend Tasks and then restart it will do that I know from experience. Anytime I want to start or stop the Agent I shut it down completely.

I've had several lockups... and using WinVNC to hunt them down is a bit of a drag! ;)

I've also experienced a queue-ing problem tonight. One of the locked up machines is pulling them down one at a time instead of stocking up.

Right on MT, you were right, I did suspend and restart a few times and checking my processes, I had 2 or 3 instances of javaw.exe running.
All back to normal with a full restart. :)

Great Medic.. :) This is just a bad day for us, but hopefully it will turn around soon. Two of mine filled thier Que but two are as you said Geoffs, one at time. Im thinking its a Sengent server issue.

It does seem to be a server issue. Yesterday in the day, I started a couple machine at work and they downloaded very quickly. Then, in the evening, I started a client at home and it wouldn't download anything. This morning it is downloading, but very, very slowly. It is barely keeping enough in its queue to keep working.

John P on the D2OL forum has speculated that we're crunching them faster then Sengent can produce them! ;)

tbates- are there zero rotational bonds on that one? I have that problem too. Here's what I was told to do:

1. Close out and exit your agent.
2. Navigate into the directory where your client is located.
3. Go into the 'res' directory and delete your tasks.dat files
4. Inside the 'res' directory, navigate into the 'data' directory and then
into 'taskdata'.
5. Open up the 'structs' directory and delete all directories and files
inside there.
6. You can now restart your client which will then download a new cache of
candidates to process.

I found that I also needed to delete the inQueue.dat and outQueue.dat files in the 'res' directory.

I got a new box running D2OL and it is only able to get one candidate at a time, for a total of only 4. It is idle now with the message that it is "initializing. I've stopped a restarted it a couple of times. Are others having a problem?

I think everyone is having the replenishing of cues problem. Someone need to setup some software as a cue server!

Im having the problem mostly on the Linux machines. The Windows machines are keeping up anyway. MY P4 could only get 2 downloaded in 3 hours and it cranks them out so fast that they were gone in a few minutes. Sengent needs to have weekend tech support for sure.

This morning I was up to 19 in the queue. This box is on dialup and not getting a full queue is a problem for me. Because of the way D2OL works I don't see how I can leave this one running D2OL when I not here. :(

Hi everybody at Team AnandTech, this is KenW from over at the D2OL forums. Your team member Adam asked me to stop by and check out a couple of threads here. His request was actually a few days ago but I've been really busy over here trying to find out what is causing the candidates to stall so frequently all of a sudden.

We figures out what was causing a number of you to have problems downloading new candidates and this should not happen any more. The main issue with this was our routines that handle filling up the available candidate pool when it runs low were not always detecting the problem and so at some times there were simply not candidates being made available to download. I hope this clears up this issue for everybody. If anyone has any other questions or comments please feel free to email them to us at info@sengent.com. It's good to see you team really getting going again. Thanks to you all for your contributions and I'll see you around the forums.
