ANy one have a Sepmoron?

It's Sempron, and it's the same clock speed as the Athlon 64 2800+ with half the L2 cache so IMO it's kinda worthless unless you want the higher model number and lack of 64-bit capability.

you mean sempron, its awesome for day-to-day stuff and fine for basic gaming.. it was the duron successor and performs near to XP speeds. in the 64 bit i havent used one yet but i bet it performs similarly for basic functions as the athlon64. it was designed for budget market.

Yea Im building a comp for my sister (Just the tower) Budget 500 just need suggestions
Needs it for Interent ANd typing and basic stuff liek that
music cds...

I got my 7 year old daughter a Sempron 2800 there is 2 version of the Sempron 3000 One have 2x the Cache if I knew that I would have gotten her that. it works good though I got a ATI Radeon 9200 video card with it and plays almost all games that I've tried.

Why are people on forums obsessed with spelling. Even though 90% of us forumers play games and use shortcut typing and "L337" talk.

u = you
pwned = owned

etc etc

Well, not to be the grammar police but using "2" for "to" annoys me whereas I don't find it annoying when used to shorten "two". Same for using "y" for "why" or "u" for "you". It's one thing to use shorthand or acronyms or even to have a typing mistake. However, sometimes as in the case of using "2" for "to" and "y" for "why" it just baffles me. That and "l337" speak always makes me think I'm reading what is typed by a 10 year old who thinks he's l337 and thus I rarely respond to that person. I mean, to anyone who is even halfway competent at typing is it really that hard typing out the words, to, you and why? It doesn't even really save you much time, a half second at most.
