Do you have sirens where you live? You know you get hardcore tornados when you have sirens.

Supposedly thats what we are in for tonight and into tomorrow but Id be damned if I even see on cloud on the radar heading this way.

GL, been through one already, flew over my house, took some shingles but when it landed on the other side of the street it took 2 horses, part of a barn, and a garage.

Stay safe then and let us know when this edge of the front has moved through. :)

The rotation should pass to your south depending on where you are in Holden. That being said, go to a place of safety soon and it should be over for you in less than half an hour. If you vehicles and a garage then put them there. The hail core looks to pass very close to you, and it appears to have baseball size hail in it.

we are north of holden, that storm will pass south of us, yes

there is another storm to the west , still in kansas, hopefully it'll break up before it reaches us , or track south as well, won't really know on that one for another ~45 minutes

Going to be close. The hail could be very bad for you.

How you get wireless access in BFE. I live just north of Springfield, and we don't have squat.

a guy in our town setup a dial up ISP several years ago, because all ISP's were long distance at that time, there were no POP's for any ISP's that were a local call

when he learned how to do long range 802.11b , he offered that service first in town, and then as he got towers up on barns and silos, he leap frogged his coverage further and further out until he reached our neighborhood, about ten miles north of town

Man, i wish we had that here. I'd just about pimp myself out for broadband if I had to. I'm still on dialup.

so far, everything has missed us here in lawrence. I even parked my car in the garage in case it hails.

Be safe--and give us updates. I'm watching channel 41 and all they have had on it for the past hour+ is weather related stuff..

We haven't had so much as a drop of rain... yet

the night is young though and I keep seeing stuff spawning near Emporia and working its way northeast...

Yes. And, currently, it is tracking north of Holden, so it will certainly be necessary for you to take some precautions at that time. Currently looks like it would cross US 131 a few miles north of Holden. If you want me to PM me your exact location I can provide you better info.

My sister just called me from Missouri telling me to watch the weather channel for her area since they had warnings and sirens going off and such I guess. It's times like these I'm glad to live in the Northeast.
