🙁 Is anyone still around from the Golden Days at Anand's?
(Fall '99 through Summer '00).

GUTB are you out there?

RED BARN, we need a hot flame.

LITTLEBOYBLUE where are you?

Times sure are a changin.

I am not what you would call a regular, but I am still here lurking. I was here in the ubb days...

I was here from the beginning though I was a lurker and mostly just read teh articles. I remember the "old old days" when Tom's Hardware was better. hehe that was a long time ago!

I have been here since the beginning. or close to it. Took me over 2 years to hit 200 posts. 🙂

Oh- Those were the days

GUTB- Has been banned ever since he (or someone posing as him) managed to get half the country banned from posting (don't ask). Also, at about the same time , he made it a point to go into a Athlon help question and rag on the user,& his equipment

🙂

I had around 700 posts when they switched from UBB to FuseTalk back in Oct. 99...i guess I was there for a few months. Maybe since the spring. I didn't post much back then.

I have been here since the beginning also. My handles in the past have been John7072, Johnyjunkhead, Jphutch, Democrat and various other names that got hosed either by changing internet providers or just plain losing my password and not having the same email anymore.

LOL. jobert, wait 'till Red Dawn sees that you've confused him with an agricultural outbuilding commonly known to contain little else than straw, stink, and meat still on the hoof, awaiting slaughter.

I suppose you'll play all innocent. 😀

Same here.
I lurked around the forums for a long time before i joined. Though it was already in fusetalk when i became a member.
Guess no one here really knows me since i post so little.
Ah well. It's been fun here so far.

Hehehe, I have some of the Hitachi/Buy.com threads printed out I could scan them and post them if anyone cares.
EDITDamn, I must have thrown that stuff out, I just checked and I dont have it any more 🙁
Damn!

ROTFLMAO🙂 Thanks Dave, now I'll have to spend the next ten minutes cleaning the coke off of my desktop🙂

How many of you know the Ornery use to go by the handle of ENO?

Well lets see here:
When I first started posting here:

They used UBB
The "hot" setup was a Celeron 300 at 450- some wild folks were claiming they could get 500!
Russ had written the Celeron O/Cing guide (that one may still be in the archives)
Cyrix was a reasonable alternative
The AMD K6 was a OK processor- too bad you can't clock it- if you got a extra 25-33 mhz you were really pushing it!
A big topic was over 75&83 mhz FSB- would my HD handle it?
There was a 2-3 month period where every other post was about Buy.com- and it's misprinted price on 17" monitors on it's website. Too many were ordered and those who didn't get one was royally PO'ed- I believe Russ referred to them as "Wounded Monitor Children"

Well, to some I might be considered an "oldtimer", and to some I might still be considered a relative newbie. Only get here on the weekends anymore, d*mn job anyway!:| -kd5-
