If your DSL uses PPPoE, then yes it will log you out at whatever period you set, counting from the last time that your computer sent traffic outbound to the Internet. I assume if you set it to 0, it will not log you out, however your ISP may have its own idle timeout, or a forcible timeout. You can run a "keepalive" program which you can get anywhere freeware is available, which sends some packets every once in awhile, to prevent your ISP from timing out the connection.

The timeout really won't make much difference to your usage, as the login sequence should be only a few milliseconds when you start using the connection again, almost unnoticeable and it only happens once when you start sending again after being idle.

I want a good set of kitchen knives any recommendations? I have miricle blades now:(

I like a nice heavy blade and made is usa if possible

When it comes to kitchen knives - I definately recommend the J.A. Henckels (look for the twin guys) Twin Professional "S" , Four Star, or Five Star - Same forged knives just different handles.

Or Go with the Wusthof Classic Series.

I would definately recommend Forged knives- If these are too pricey, they offer lower end knives-
For example most general users would notice any difference between a Henckels Pro S (Solingen, Germany) forged Chef's kife versus the Henckels (single guy) Classic/Gourmet knife also forged but made in/w steel from Spain.

If you opt for the higer end knives - its a once in a lifetime purchase- if they are maintained.

Wow Thanks! and LOL at the name wurthof (meatcut) German love to name things for thier application.
I see this set is $1800 retail but 1100 online Text, Kinda spendy.

Anyway I really need a set. I cook 2x a day and fashion myself a chef so I should at least have a decent set of cutlery. What I found applealing about the Miricle Blades is they never need shappening and was only 139.99:) However you must move the knife all the time though the cut because it relis on the serated blades to make the cut not the sharpness of the knife. Also they are thin and lightwieght which I find difficult to get comfortable with.

Well I've highjacked this thread long enough YGPM...

Moonie:)

But it comes with a FREE garlic press and FREE cutting board!

I'm guess you posted that in the wrong window

nope... carry one anywhere around here and its a felony

In Texas?! Wow, that's pretty damn amazing.

Even up here in Canada i can carry a knife where ever i want... heck, i can strap a machete to my back if i wanted to. All you have to do is claim that it's work related, and you can carry it.

well, not any... i do know that any fold out knife can be counted as a switch blade if the spring in it isn't very strong and the cop can get the blade to come out even a little bit by swinging it... carry one of those into anywhere that serves alcohol and its a felony. it might just be an austin thing

Well, that's what tscenter was referring to when he said handle... switchblades up here are illegal as well... anything that uses gravity to open. But switchblades suck anyways.

No you can't... but you don't fillet with a chef knife anyways. I want one as well... and actually looking at the prices a couple of hours ago, they're about half of what they were last year, so i might actually pick one up.
