just curious...i have 2...one in state, one in fed....the one in state is on 2 0-5's for armed rob....the one in fed is on 15 for ganking $ from the bank he worked at ( to supply our coke habbit) yes, i use to be bad.....anyway....i was talking with the one in state tonight...he is doing great...i would have to say him getting nailed is the best thing for him...he is off of drugs, and is going to school...i think its great....these guys are ones you would never guss in a million yrs would be in prison...the one in state was going to school with me on an art scholarship, he just found himself in a bad situation one night....the other was a damn model with me, here in SLC....it is amazing what booze and drugs can do to ya......anyway...there is no point....i miss them....sorry if spelling is all whack..im sorta lit =P

I was thinking that. I also can't recall the last time that drinking got me into prisson for jacking cars.

OK flame suit off: Yes I guess that sh*t can hit the fan quickly. i found out from my old boss that he stole a bunch of sailing gear when he was younger and his parents were able to pay for it anyway. Weird, eh?

Well take in mine the first guy is in for TWO armed robberies. I can see why you're pissed people crapping down your throat on this. Yes life can turn on a dime, no doubt about it. But from a bunch of geeks and regular joes what do you really expect? By my definition a "stupid act" is DUI or selling pirated software to people in your dorm. Armed robbery isn't just something you kind of find yourself in one moment. It's not like he just had one too many beer and suddenly he thought it was a good idea to be an armed robber, whereas most days his idea of fun is renting a movie or going to the park with his dog.

What do you expect? I'm sorry you miss your friends, but most people are thinking "yeah, well, you commit armed robbery and jail's what you get." People do make mistakes, and these guys are paying for theirs. Should we send our sympathies?

I've known several people over the years who became involved in various crimes, including murder. Most were former acquaintances or former co-workers but none that I would still consider to be friends.

 

Well, not really. Well . . . actually, the closest I have is a family friend in jail awaiting trial, but no one I am close to and care about is in prison to the best of my knowledge.
