I preordered mine from http://www.unitedmicro.com/ for $379 + $13 for shipping. They are suppose to ship on Friday. You have to call them to order it, because it isn't on their website.

Yep, pricewatch only has United Micro with the Gainward so far. The cards are going to be expensive for awhile anyway.

There is a Gainward G4 card on their website and the picture says golden sample on it, but I want to make sure I am getting the right card- the description doesn't specify VIVO like it does on the link above.

They said it was. But there is question about wheather it includes the glasses and/or the firewire card. It might just be the card with VIVO and the dual DVI with VGA adapters. Either way I think it is a fair deal. But as posted above they might have moved the ship date back again.

haha i tried to resist also but my evil inner voice took over and before i knew it i had ordered a Gainward ti 4600 from unitedmicro.com
i noticed the eta changed from 3/8 to 3/21 on pricewatch so i called to confirm
they said the first batch arrives 3/8 and will be shipped out, and any more orders will have to wait until 3/21
man i hope i get mine next week

was going to cancel after feeling like I made an impulsive buy but if it actually ships on Friday (today!)...sweet. I kinda hope that everyone will instead be trying to latch onto the cards offered up at mwave.com which are a bit cheaper. Hopefully we'll all be in on that first batch from unitedmicro. I was in on that gateway deal but decided not to call in and reinstate my order. I'll never know when they may actually ship with thousands already in on that deal.

GamePC Gainward 750 Review. Good read, compares against VT 4600, 8500, Ti500, Ti200, GF3 etc... finds an issue with the 2 DVI connectors... 1 can go to max res, 1 only to 1280X1024.

Personally I might get in on the Evga 4600 card... its clocked to 330/660 stock, heatpipe cooling for mem on both sides of the card and GPU... also has the trade up program. Given the fact that @ 330 it supposedly runs between 8-10C cooler than a VT 4600, I'm betting that it should be one of the highest OC'ing cards of the bunch.

FYI I checked out United Micro... the merchant has a horrible rating on ResellerRatings and also with the BBB.
