Any news about a new product line of AIW?

I want to buy the AIW of the Radeon 9700 Pro, but it is really pricey u know....$449 in CompUSA.........retail price........
I wanna know if there is any new AIW product line coming soon, or when???? So I can expect when the card would finally drop the price and come to my hand.........

$449 is too pricey, especially when MSRP is $399. You can get the retail box for <$350 shipped, check out Pricewatch. ATI is not scheduling a price drop on the 9700 AIW, so I don't think you'll see a really big drop in price when the 9800 is released. Maybe $20-30 from on-line.

Thank you very much Slammy for providing pricewatch.com for me.

I am planning to buy it after a while when the AIW 9800 Pro come out.

And i think i should stop buying stuff in store........What a good start!!!!! Saving a lot of bucks..............Shame on myself b4.

OH well thx

Just make sure to check the vendor'e ratings on resellerratings.com. It's not a perfect solution, but it can steer you clear of some bad vendors. You might need to wait a month after the 9800 release before you get a real break on the 9700's price, but the market is fickle.

I hope you are able to find one ... From what I've seen and heard the 9800aiw is a direct replacement for the 9700aiw and as soon as the current stock of 9700aiw's are gone that will be the end of them... although if they are not selling well than it should be an easy grab... worst case if the difference is only $30 than you can just get the 9800aiw and have a faster board...

Good luck...

BTW I have the radeonAIW, 8500dv, and the 9700aiw, and I think I will skip the 9800aiw because of the lack of any new video features... however if I were just upgrading I might go for the 9800aiw...
