Any new WP7 for sprint? Getting tired of the only option...

I have a iPhone 4S. Sure it's a great phone, with great gaming capabilities, but I really want a Windows Phone 7. It's fun to use (and to figure out) and I figure I might as well join a dying platform (j/k-- kind of)

Anyways, Sprint only has that stupid HTC Arrive. Any new phones on the horizon?

An updated version of the Samsung Omnia 7 went through FCC certification a while ago with CDMA bands. Also LG has some new CDMA Windows Phone coming out.

No concrete details on carriers or release dates, though 🙁

I hear ya, I'm in the same boat as the OP. Still using an older Blackberry now and looking to upgrade. My wife has an iPhone 4S but meh, I never really got into iOS. Prefer the look and feel of WP7 (and Zunepass is awesome). If the updated version of Samsung Omnia 7 is anything like the CDMA version of the new Focus S for AT&T I'd be happy with that. Not sure if I can wait that long though so trying to find a used HTC Arrive to tide me over til then.

I wouldn't mind having my next smartphone be a WP7 phone. I'm also on Sprint.

My upgrade isn't until next summer though so I'll have a ton of time to wait for new phones to be released until then. I really don't want an Arrive; I'd rather have a slimmer phone without a physical keyboard.

As a current HTC Arrive owner on Sprint, I hear ya. I like WP7 quite a bit, but never use the Arrive's physical keyboard so would jump at a WP7 slab on Sprint the day they release it.. god knows when that'll be though.

Not any time soon. Looks like WP7 devices are limited and will be limited for some time. Am hoping when Nokia finally jumps in other manufacturers will hop on the bandwagon and improve our options. Also it looks like the Nokia phones are so awesome no one will ever want anything else, ever. Which is fine too. Apple already proved having a single superior device is just fine.

Hopefully Sprint doesn't think that the iPhone is going to be the only phone they every need now and continue to offer good alternatives. They have done a great job with Android(though they didn't have much choice) and they would behoove themselves to do the same with WP7.

BIGTIME agree. I really hope they don't stop trying to get the top android phones cause of iPhone. I am happy iPhone is on Sprint, so my gf can have it, but I will be sticking with android. Perhaps if Windows phone comes out with a cool phone, that might tempt me to check it out. I really liked the look of that blue nokia that was going around.

after a month of using iOS, I can say I already like it WAY more than Android. Though Android I didn't spend a cent, on my iOS I spent > $30 in apps.

But I'm still holding out hope for a WP7 phone... Anyone hear of anything?
