Any new news on new Wii/Wiimote colors?

I searched and didn't find anything, but a friend at work found something about it.

I assume it was old news. Probably the rumor about them releasing the colors in the spring.

Any new info that I missed?

It's not gonna be until a year after the release. It makes no sense to do it now. they are selling like hot cakes, so there is no reason to change anything.

QFT. Nintendo needs some more time to let supply catch up with demand. You would have a better chance of finding Jimmy Hoffa before you would find a Wii in my area.

Nope. I too would like a black colored Wii.

I thought you were making a black man's penis joke, which is why I responded as such.

All the "wii" jokes were made before the thing even went on sale.
People just ignore them or miss them completely.

As for my opinion: If you really need a different colored controller just to enjoy the system something tells me you should buy a NES and get back to basics.

Reggie said, indirectly in typical marketing speak, that once the outrageous demand dies down and you can commonly walk into the store and get one that you'll start to see the different colors. Since the demand is so high, there's no need to complicate things by adding different colors to the mix. I'd say maybe early summer if I had to guess.
