Any new MMORPGS out lately?

Aion is the top MMORPG in Korea at the moment, beating WoW. But I don't think WoW was as popular in Korea as in the Western world. It's topping the charts on China right now and is doing very successfully. Since WoTLK isn't coming to China and they're stuck in the state of S5 with no new content, the game is slowly dying there.

I'm staying with WoW at the moment as a filler until Aion comes out. Or SC2 beta. I liked Lineage 2 a bit, but the grind was terrible. Aion is suppose to be much less of a grind fest. MUCH LESS.

Why wouldn't bliz release wotlk in china? The decide they have enough money?

Chinese government apparently has issues with wotlk, plus they changed the Chinese WoW provider from The9 to NetEase.

Stargate worlds is entering Beta 2 any day now, but I don;t think it is due out till the end of the year or the begining of next year.

Scratch this one also. developer is going bankrupt and cannot sell the idea.
Mortal online? I really don't know about this one but seems to be the last hope.

They're supposedly alive and well - not bankrupt. Though they've clammed up since the last open beta (pre-alpha?). I can tell you for certain though, if they're not actually in the midst of rewriting the game, it won't be worth playing. The beta was horrible, and the game play is basically like playing an RTS, except you only control 1 unit, and you may as well watch paint dry for excitement.

I'm very glad to hear that something is knocking off WoW the number 1 slot. I've always hated the 1970's graphics with psychedelic color scheme and background on WoW. Don't know what to play to my time. Been on Lineage 1 and AoC but they're not filling my needs.

Yeah I agree with scratching Daggerfall off unless your idea of fun is to wander around a boring uninhabited landscape for 4 hours to get into an anti-climatic 3 second fight with another player and have to wander another 4 hours again for your next diluted dose of 'excitement'

Champions Online? I'm in the testing phase and it's definitely something different.

Someone went as far as to create a Duke Nukem superhero during last night's test... 😀

Dungeons and Dragons online has been a blast for me the last couple months.
I didn't mention this one earlier, but DDO is probably the most fun I've ever had in a MMO. The downside is that it is even less friendly to hardcore players than LOTRO as there's even less of an endgame. Both DDO and LOTRO are still worth playing (imo) but you have to be doing it for the journey rather than the destination.

A new mod is being released any day now that increases level cap, adds alot of new areas and a bunch of other stuff. I have yet to make it to the level cap myself so I don't know exactly what happens. But it looks like they have set up a system in the new mod for capped characters so that they can still get enhancement points.

Whatever that is worth..
