Preferably a flight-oriented game like the old X-wing vs. Tie-fighter or X-Wing Alliance??

Anybody privy to any info?

I miss those types of games. 🙁

I mean last time I played these games I was running a Slot A Athlon 700 (or mabye even my Celeron 300a) and a Matrox G200 or G400.
 
There is a BF1942 like star wars game coming out, and a shooter that is a cross between rainbow six games and halo.
those being Starwars Battlefront, and Republic Commando.
Their is a rumor of a KOTOR sequel, which makes since with how successful it was, but that's probally a long way off.

Space sims, I don't know...I want a remake of the old games.

I think I read in PC Gamer that the Bioware guys jumped ship, so KOTOR 2 will not be made by them. LucasArts will have to find someone else or do it in-house.
 
xwing vs tiefighter was awesome!!


xwing alliance was a really fun game as well...(tie advance owns you!)

KOTOR is probably the best SW game out right now using the updated graphics...


what i want lucasarts to do is make those classic adventure games again ...i won't mind 2d..or a 2d/3d hybrid (ie viewtiful joe)

Prolly die defender you mean 😛 XvT had the tie advanced, but yeah that kicked ass too.
 
tie defender was just a joke to fight with/against. the only thing that could hope to stop you would be a fleet of b-wings and frigates, otherwise, you were untouchable. and that missle boat? the one with 80 warheads and could go something like 400 klicks? it was practically like playing in God mode!
 
i agree man. i thirst so much for new space sim games. the last one was freelancer from microsoft, but it didnt really do it for me, too short imo. although it was good. but id like something more like the original wing commander series. those were just too sweet. an updated version with RPG elements incorporated would be awesome.

why dont people bother making big space sims anymore? like independence war 2: edge of chaos. or freespace 2. Those games were phenomenal. is it because people dont buy them?
