NAND is predicted to be in continued oversupply through 2019 leading to a predicted 30% price drop (that is for NAND only), some estimate possibly even up to 50%. DRAM prices sliding down also has an effect on SSD pricing.

Short term pricing is just going to be sale dependent.

However a caveat with regards to falling NAND prices is that some of that will likely be due to an increase in the share of QLC NAND.

Call me biased, but I would try to get MLC NAND instead of TLC and QLC types.

OTOH, the market opinions are that ssd's and other flash types will continue dropping even more than now in price well into 2019, so if you can wait until then, do it. Otherwise pull the trigger on BF/CM...

Could just buy another 1TB and save the money (Desktop), or USB3 with a laptop.

You can always get the 970 EVO 2TB for "only" ~$550. Not a great deal with the 1TB drives are going for $230 on Black Friday.

Samsung QVO about to become available and the prices are even lower than the EVO line.

A 2TB should be in the $250-$260 range.

Micron 1100 2TB going for $200 on Rakuten today with 20% off sitewide coupon.

Seems like prices are falling fast across the board.

Picked up a HP EX920 NVME 1TB for $152 a few days ago.

QVO? Like... QLC EVO?

Price sounds good to me. Technology-wise? Well, I hope that Samsung can master QLC V-NAND. They've got a good track record so far, so I might get one if I feel the need.

That's a pretty amazing code. I don't even want a 2tb ssd, but there are sooo many other great things there. They have some very good deals on 6TB HDDs and M2 on storage front. Nice for Chromebook refurbs as well.

A few months ago when they had a great deal on a NVMe from Adata, I decided to give them a shot despite the past credit card issues. However, I decided to use Paypal as it would be safer than using a credit card. I placed my order, and they cancelled it about 30 minutes later stating "could not verify Paypal". No request to call in to verify anything. I Googled to see if this type of thing is common, and it appears that it has happened to quite a few people out there.

I've used Paypal since the beginning, and I even have an account at Ebates (which they own), and I've had Ebates deposit cash back into my Paypal account several times. So for me personally, I've just decided to write them off. If their service is bad when buying, I can't imagine it being any better after a sale if I needed it.

As a general rule, I don't buy from online Vendors I haven't heard of, and I do my research first if I decide to take a risk.

They've been around a while, so I knew who they were. However, the threads over the years on Slickdeals detailed how quite a few people who used credit cards on their site, had their cards compromised.

That's why I generally like Paypal for paying online (even Newegg had their site compromised not too long ago) because I don't have to worry about fighting fraudulent charges or replacing my credit cards.

I really have no idea why they cancelled my order though. I've used Paypal to shop at a lot of online places from electronics, appliances, computer parts, clothing and shoes, pressure washers at Home Depot, holsters, and I've never had any type of issue or delay when using Paypal.

I use a Walmart prepaid debit card for most online purchases. Thanks for reminding me about Newegg. I'll start using that for them as well.
