Any need for CPUidle or anything like that in Win2K?

Hey all,

Just built 2 systems this weekend, and they are both running Windows 2000 now. I use to dual boot between 98 and NT4, but now I have it all in one package. Once thing though....I know NT4 didn't need a CPU idler program, because it already does the halt command. What about Win2K? Should I DL CPUidle?

Thanks,

Ricky

Although Win2K has the System Idle thread that makes use of the HLT command, supposedly CPUIdle does a better job of it. The Idle thread is enough for me.....I've never needed CPUIdle for Win2K.
