Any multiplayer naval battle games?

I'm in the war mood currently. I want a naval ship/boat battle game where you can fight with other people online. ALso, this game must be free. Is there anything that fits this criteria?
 
That would be sweet. A MP game that allows people to perform different tasks on a battleship, submarine or aircraft carrier and duke it out.
 
Setting your budget to free sort of limits your options... though, I am not sure of any MP naval games off the top of my head, at any cost.

Does BF 1942 have any water action?
 
It does have water action, but it doesn't work on my computer. I wish it did, I might get a whole new computer JUST for that game. But, do you guys know any games like this?

Yes it Does....
 
BF1942 has exactly what you want...planes, subs, and battleships that duke it out in naval battles. The Midway map is basically one big naval battle.

....This is a message board. I can ask all the questions I want. I'm just asking for more ideas, they are all great games, unfortunately I have played them, or unable to play them.

I believe Silent Service 2 & Destroyer Commander (together or separately) can be played multiplayer on the net 😀
