While I wouldn't think to dispute that any onboard is better than an Audigy 2 ZS, I confidently assert that any modern onboard audio will quite easily destroy an AWE32 in every conceivable way. You just can't compare the two. BTW - its not called a daughter card those are like little strap-on boards that you could add to older sound cards to add wavetable synthesis and extra memory etc...

I'm at my parent's house wishing I didn't give them my Asus A7N8X Deluxe system - I NEED it's MCP-T for a Dolby Digital Live equipped HTPC. And they just use Firefox and Word. What a waste... I should have brought a cheap-o nForce 2, and covertly replaced it
