I was just wondering if there are any motherboards out there that have built-in bluetooth support.

I think this would be a good idea for an enthusiast type board for people who don't need mouse and keyboard ports or parallel or serial for that matter.

printer, keyboard and mouse could all run off bluetooth if there are such devices

both the Epox 8K5A2+ and the MSI KT3 Ultra2-BR had built-in bluetooth, but they are kind of old and I don't know of any other newer ones. However if I'm not mistaken the Logitech diNovo keyboard and mouse set works as a bluetooth hub (the bluetooth version, not the RF version) so if you bought that you wouldn't have to bother searching for a bluetooth mobo. ;)

Most MSI boards have an orange PCI slot where you can use their Bluetooth cards, but I haven't seen them for sale anywhere.

The MSI K8N Diamond is supposed to ship with this acessory, but that board won't be available in America.

no. The keyboard and mouse connect via usb, but then act as a hub for other bluetooth devices. And now that I think about it, if you wanted a cheaper solution than the diNovo you could just use one of these.

this ones kind of spendy, cuz its d-link, but you can get one from more generic brands for cheaper. Don't know if this fits in with what you had in mind, but it certainly seems easier than limiting yourself to only boards that have on board bluetooth. ;)
