Any Metorologist or climatologist. here at ATOT ??? I'm trying to do some research into the average daylight hours certain loctions have (longatude & Latitude) and also the intensity of that sunlight. I've checked Enviroment Canada but it seems that you must pay for the info. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've also done a google search but I only get places like alaska. Thanks.

Cheers,

I have no qualifications, but I can squint really hard and nod when you relay information to me. If you're lucky, I'll even give you a response in english.

Studying broadcast meteorology. I am more into the severe weather aspect of things. I think you should be looking for someone who is a climatologist.

I'm a meteoreurologist, what can I assist you with?

Hey Rossman......... I'm looking for the average daylight hours for my city Vancouver, BC, Canada, 49th Lat, Romulus, Michigan, USA, about 44th Lat and Port Charlotte, Florida, USA about 25th Lat. I'm thinking of making a greenhouse for growing out corals (a hobby of mine) but I was doing a little research to see if it's feasible. There is already a coral farm in Romulus Michigan (near Detroit) so I figured that maybe I can do it seeing that I'm only 5 degrees more north than he is. I figure if I can do it then I can grow some corals from the existing ones I have and trade them locally so that we don't have to harvest them from the oceans.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 😀

Cheers,
Aquaman

If you have no more luck out of this thread, my dad is a Flight Service Specialist which deals with directly to Environment Canada meterologists and climateologists...he could probably dig up the info, but knowing him, it'd take downright forever...like a month or more...he's really lame at remembering stuff...lol doesn't sound like a great offer...
