The company I work for has a small (staff of 6) remote terminal in Memphis. They're having a world of trouble with their computers. They're hooked up by way of Bell South DSL and running an assortment of low to mid level (Wal-Mart) PCs. I suspect their problem is systems horked up with mal-ware rather than connectivity issues.
What I'm looking for is (a) someone who can tell me how far the office is from the nearest CO, (b) if it's more than 12,000 wire-feet then what are my other broadband options in the area, and (c) do you know of a good trustworthy tech type who could make a housecall and do a little basic cleanup & maintenance without raping me.
