depends where. i got ferries and other things from long island.

he told me there were no leaks at all. The antifreeze was just disappearing, no trace of it. No puddles ever, just every 3 weeks its gone.

There was coolant in the radiator when i checked, just the resivior was empty. Want to clear that up.

Coolant just doesn't disappear, it either leaked out at speed, burned inside the combustion chambers or found it's way into the oil.

Does your defroster steam the windshield up ?
Is the passenger side footwell wet ?
Is the bottom of the Jeep wet ?

As roger asked, what does the oil look like, reg. brown/clear or thick and white/dark brown?

Have you taken the plugs out yet. They are very easy to get to in that motor

Around here, and doubtless many other areas, if a car or truck that old has to be towed to a junk yard, expect nothing.

Depends, if the head is cracked then maybe not worth fixing, if the head gasket is bad then have the head resealed by a machine shop, and replace the gaskets.

Take it to a better mechanic, lol..

If it starts, runs and drives.. there's hope, lol.

What makes you think that this is not the major problem right now ?

If you have a blown head gasket, the engine will lose compression and admit coolant into the combustion chamber, either of these will cause hard starting, loss of power and rough idling.
Additionally, combustion gasses can and will work there way into the cooling system, this will cause the coolant sensors to be uncovered/unexposed to the coolant causing false readings which will cause the ECM to run in open loop mode.

How will he fix it ?

First he has to determine if you have a blown headgasket/cracked cylinder head or block.
Once this is established, he will have to at least remove the cylinder head, check it for straightness and cracks, then check the block and reassemble with new gaskets.
