It's like whiskey mixed with honey. Particular brand was Bunratty (as in the castle in Ireland). Any suggestions on other brands/bottlers?
 
How was the buzz? I've read that in Ye Olden Days, Meade was actually the precursor to beer, and was MUCH stonger...somewhere along the lines of a Liquor, if you will...20% alcohol. 😀
