Has anyone had any experience with the Shure UC series (http://www.shure.com/wlucidx.html) of handheld wireless microphones? I have a quote of $869 for a UC2/87 Handheld Transmitter with SM87A Supercardioid Microphone. I use the Shure U4D receivers (http://www.shure.com/wluhfidx.html) with UC1 and UC2 transmitters all the time and love them but the price is a little too steep for additional purchases.

If anyone has any good ideas for a reasonably prices microhpone for a baby grand piano let me know...

And of final note, I am using Yamaha S112IV mains (http://www.yamaha.com/cgi-win/webcgi.exe/DsplyModel/?gUPS00008CLUB+SERIES) powered by QSC 2450 Amps (http://www.qscaudio.com/products/amps/rmx/rmx.htm) and I want to couple each with new SW118IV subs . Yamaha is really pushing their CP2000 Amp (http://www.yamaha.com/cgi-win/webcgi.exe/DsplyModel/?gAMP00008CP2000) which they say works wonders with Yamaha speakers by utilizing some sort of special design to increase bass and overall frequency response... What do you guys think of this?

I've dealt with Sennheiser headset wireless mics.....pretty bad IMO.
The Samson models have much better range, and this one shure diveristy headset + regular wireless mic were awesome, the regular mic was a sm58 with a wireless base I believe. Super nice quality for a wireless.
Nothing like a wired Sm58 though

Well, if you wanted to, you could do a lot better for the speakers if you wanted to do DIY, otherwise I can't comment on their SQ since I've never heard them before.

Elaborate on the speaker choice Viperoni... I liked the Yamaha's since I've used them and they're cheap. I can't comment too much about the subs...

I'm putting together a system that I figured would cost about $3500 for 2 mains (Yamaha S12IV), 2 subs (Yamaha SW118IV), 2 monitors (Yamaha SM12IV), 3 amps (2 QSC RMX 2450 + 1 QSC RMX 1450), and a 16 channel Allen-Heath GL2200 (4 aux) mixing console.

What I do need is a crossover if anyone has any suggestions.

can you give me the cost of just the speakers/subs alone.....2 mains + 2 subs + 2 monitors.
Then I can pick from the woofers/tweets I know and give you a parts/price estimate
