Jan1 2001 I started a new postion at my job, that included a pay increase. I did not get that pay increase untill today 10 months later.
On my pay check they had a retro pay of about $130 which is way less than I thought they owed me.
It gets better. I have an e-mail from my boss that says that he will back date it to January. I asked him about it and he said that he could only get it back dated to when my review was actually done.
Now my question is since I have a written document that states that he will back date to Jan1 2001 so I will get the money that I was entitled to back then, does that written letter give grounds to pursue legal action to get the money I feel I am owed. which is about $4000.
